70 Aluminum Alloy Rear Tube Telescopic Awning Shade Umbrella

70 Aluminum Extruded Tubing, also called CDS tube, is manufactured from hot billets through rolling, piercing, and elongating processes. The material is transferred through a die over a mandrel plug to achieve precise dimensions and wall thickness.

The cold-drawing process produces aluminum tubes with thin walls, high precision, excellent surface smoothness, strict tolerances, and superior mechanical properties.

70 aluminum tube is widely used in aerospace, petrochemical, defense, medical, automotive cooling systems, and outdoor equipment telescopic tubing applications.

Manufacturing Process

Seamless aluminum tubes are produced by piercing extrusion, while conventional aluminum tubes are extruded using a combined die. The production process utilizes short rods with high temperature and slow speed extrusion, carefully controlling three key temperatures.

The aluminum rod, extrusion cylinder, and die must remain clean throughout the process. Aging time and temperature are precisely adjusted according to wall thickness and diameter requirements.

70 Aluminum Tube Specifications

Drawn structural tubes undergo an additional cold drawing process after extrusion, where they pass through a second die to achieve final dimensions. This cold working process enables closer size tolerances and thinner wall thicknesses compared to standard extruded tubes.

Both seamless extruded and cold drawn tubes are suitable for transporting gases or liquids under pressure, with drawn tubes offering superior dimensional precision.
